Percussion lessons are open to all ages and all skill levels. Generally, at age 9 kids have sufficient strength and attention span to start drums or mallets.

For young adults and adults alike, we provide beginner to advanced lessons that cover everything from classical percussion to funk, rock, and jazz drumming skills and concepts.

Mallet instruments are an excellent foundation instrument, providing the student with basic musical knowledge that can later be applied to any instrument.

Houston Music Academy is committed to ensuring that students of all ages and abilities have a positive private lesson experience.

Private lesson students also receive the benefit of multiple opportunities to perform in recitals, jams, workshops, and masterclasses.
